At Nomad Kimchi, we want to teach you how to make kimchi just like my grandmother and mother taught me. We want to share the experience and the skill in a way that makes you feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process of making kimchi. A little piece of my family history and tradition, so that you can create yours.
Kimchi is a personal experience. Even though we are giving you the same ingredients, your batch could taste different because your hands and your vegetables are different than ours. We want to teach you how to shop at the farmer’s market, how to select the perfect vegetables for kimchi making, and how to cut them the traditional way, the way I was taught by my grandmother.
Not everyone can have a commercial kitchen… not everyone has a Korean mom or grandmother, but that doesn't mean you shouldn’t have the most authentic flavors right at your own fingertips? We say that you can!
